As of March 1st 2018 Dr. Philipp Nellessen was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions for South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa.

Philipp started with thyssenkrupp in 2014 and held different executive management roles prior to becoming CEO and relocating to South Africa, first as the Head of Strategy and Organization at Components Technology and then as the Head of Transformation Office at Industrial Solutions.

Before joining thyssenkrupp, Philipp spent almost 10 years as an international consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. During this time Philipp gained experience working in South Africa, Australia and Europe.

Philipp holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Ruhr University in Bochum and a PhD in Process Control of Mechanized Shield Tunneling also from the Ruhr University, he has been awarded the “Gert Massenbergpreis” for his PhD and the “Förderpreis der Forschungsgesellschaft Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau” for achievements during his studies.

Before her appointment as CHRO of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions Sub Saharan Africa Siphindile Madonsela started employment in May 2011 as Head of Human Resources. Prior to joining thyssenkrupp she worked variously in the field of human resources for similar companies like Tongaat-Hulett Group and Ford Samcor including Endress + Hauser where she was HR Director.

Siphindile holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree and Industrial Relations Diploma both obtained from the University of Natal as well as a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Oregon.

Craig Beulich joined thyssenkrupp Industrial solutions on 16 June 2017 as the Chief Financial Officer of its Sub Saharan Africa operations.

Prior to this, for 7 years Craig was the head of Finance and Controlling for the South African operation of an international EPC specializing in the power industry, before moving to a leading Chlor Alkali Plant as the Financial Director where he gained experience in process plants and the various constraint theories.

Craig is a CA(SA). He obtained his degree along with honors at Rhodes university and thereafter completed his articles at KPMG.
